Story Summary:
The story begins with Monju, a careless young man who sleeps all day and uses drugs at night. His wife, Mili, is the only good thing in his life. Mili was once a bright student, but now she has lost her dreams and identity because of her household responsibilities.
When their father was alive, he gave all his property to the elder son, Jamil, because he thought Monju was unstable. Monju married Mili hoping to gain his father’s approval, but it did not work.
Now, they live on the money Jamil sends. One day, a guest arrives—someone Jamil sent to stay for seven days. Mili is surprised to see that he is her former university professor, who once wanted to marry her. But at that time, Mili loved Monju.
Seeing the professor after many years brings back hope in Mili’s heart. She decides to leave with him. But just as she is about to go, Monju stops her. This leads to a conversation that clears up all their misunderstandings.
In the end, Monju and Mili decide to stay together and start a new life with love and understanding.
