“Raid 2” Released in Theatres – A Brave Fight Against Corruption
On May 1, 2025, the much-awaited Hindi film Raid 2 was released in theatres. The film stars Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, and Vaani Kapoor. It continues the story of the 2018 film Raid, set seven years later. Ajay Devgn returns as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, who now takes on a more dangerous white-collar criminal.
Story Summary
Amay Patnaik is an honest officer in the Income Tax Department. He has led 74 raids and helped recover more than ₹420 crore in black money. He is transferred to a new area called Bhoj. There, he finds a link to a powerful politician named Dada Manohar Bhai (played by Riteish Deshmukh). Manohar Bhai is connected to black money found in an earlier raid.
Amay starts his 75th raid using his smart planning, patience, and legal knowledge. But during the raid, a conspiracy leads to his temporary suspension. Later, the suspension is cancelled. Amay returns with a stronger plan and a team to take down Manohar Bhai.
