“Sawab” – A Story of Kindness and Forgiveness
Dr. Faraz walked through the village road. A stethoscope hung around his neck. He was a kind doctor. He gave free treatment to the poor villagers.
One day, another doctor came to the village. Her name was Saima Khondokar. She had studied in America. But the villagers did not welcome her. They looked at her with anger.
Saima’s father was Iliyas Khondokar. He was a rich man. But he made money by cheating poor people. So, everyone hated him. Now, they also hated his daughter.
Saima wanted to change this. Eid was coming soon. She and her father planned to give gifts to the poor. But no one took them. Even when they left the gifts at houses, people returned them.
Saima did not give up. One day, she visited an old woman’s house. She gave her food and medicine. At first, the woman refused. But later, she accepted it. Slowly, other villagers started trusting Saima.
Dr. Faraz saw everything. He also wanted the villagers to be happy. Could he and Saima work together? Could Saima win their hearts?
