June 12, 2025 — On the sixth day of Eid, the short film “Woman of No Religion” was released on i-Screen. The main roles were played by Sushama Sarkar and Mushfiq Farhan.
Story Summary:
The story is set in a brothel. On a bright stage, there are music and dance shows. A group of young women entertain the guests. Some guests also pay for sex.
Nishi is the center of attention. She is very beautiful and attractive—more than movie stars. Farhan is a regular visitor. He likes Nishi a lot and only spends time with her.
Over time, Farhan falls in love with Nishi. But her job hurts him. He has to share her with other men. Still, he decides to make her his life partner.
Then suddenly, Nishi dies.
Farhan is heartbroken. He wants to bury her with respect. But society and religion stop him. No one wants to do her funeral. The mosque, temple, and church all turn him away. They say her body is impure.
At last, Farhan takes Nishi’s body and goes to find a new place—a place where humanity comes before religion.
But can he find it?
